I get my money’s worth when it comes to Peloton. 1) I am healthier thanks to their classes and 2) I tend to walk away with motivational messages. And those messages often spin me into thinking about how it plays into real estate marketing. In this case, the motivation comes from Peleton instructor Alex Toussaint. The message: “Keep f*cking jumping.” In other words, keep trying and don’t be afraid to fail.

Sure, this isn’t a new idea. But it really seems to fit my messaging when it comes to real estate marketing. There are thousands of real estate brokers in Seattle alone. The only way to separate yourself from the pack is to be different. If you’re playing follow the leader, you’ll continue to do just that: follow the leaders. It’s important to step outside of the real estate marketing comfort zone and equally important to fail along the way.

Keep F*cking Jumping

Being different takes time, energy, and often resources. Failing is never fun. But it is necessary. Even the most prolific real estate professionals continue to fail. No one is perfect, right? Fail and learn, and repeat. It may sound like a strange path to success, but it is the path to success. It’s how you rise above the real estate crowd. As I wrote in a previous post (also triggered by a Peloton instructor): you have to give extra to be extraordinary.

There are necessities when it comes to marketing your properties: real estate photography, property listing videos, virtual tours, and floor plans. You have to follow the lead. You need to do that and do it well. But it’s essential to market yourself as a real estate broker. Put yourself on camera for a hosted property listing video. I highly encourage any type of real estate video, honestly. Audiences are consuming more videos every single day. You’re simply missing out if you’re not creating video content.

Don’t be afraid to fail. Even when you think you’re perfect, some content will still fail. It’s just the way of the content world. And you have to be okay with that. Keep trying, keep learning, and you will see the reward on the other side.

It can be intimidating to be different. You’re putting yourself out there. But there are simple things you can do to get started creating real estate videos. Don’t Be Afraid to Fail

Word of mouth and referrals are always great. But business doesn’t always come to you. You have to go out and get it. By being different and showing buyers and sellers that you’re willing to do anything to help them achieve their dreams, you’re going to appeal to an audience that others simply aren’t reaching. Mostly because they’re afraid to try and fail.
