I find inspiration in the strangest places. Sometimes it strikes when I’m brushing my teeth, at the playground with my kids, or even when I’m working out. I literally just hopped off my Peleton and decided to write this. And it’s all because one thing the instructor said: “You have to give extra to be extraordinary.” She meant that on the bike but the same goes for real estate.
If you’ve read my blog before, you have heard me say this: real estate agents range from downright lazy to absolutely extraordinary. But what makes the extraordinary stand out? They’ll all tell you the same thing, and it goes back to what the Peleton instructor said: giving extra is the separator.
Yes, that means market research. It means being available to your clients. It means grinding to make dreams come true. But it also goes for real estate marketing. Buyers consume content differently. Some love to look through photos, others watch home listing videos, many click on every dot of a Matterport tour, while others stare at floor plans dreaming of what can be. If you leave any of these items off your listings, you’re simply leaving consumers out. That just doesn’t make any sense.
Giving extra isn’t easy. It takes time and money. But it leads to sales and referrals. It’s really as simple as that. Real estate marketing is as much about you as it is your properties. As a consumer and buyer myself, I take note of agents and brokers who create impactful content for their clients. And I’d surely tell my friends and family about.
